Saving the Otterhound - latest assignment for BBC Countryfile Magazine

We’ve just completed a large feature about Otterhounds, for BBC Countryfile Magazine… we do enjoying the odd writing assignment, in-between the usual SEO and data science…

A spokesman from The Kennel Club told us: “In 2022 so far, there have been just 14 Otterhound puppy births registered. To put this in perspective, the most popular dog remains the Labrador Retriever which in 2021 saw 61,559 puppies registered – which remarkably makes them nearly one and a half thousand times more popular than the Otterhound” – because of this, there is real concern that Otterhounds are at risk of extinction.

But all is not lost… you can do your bit to help save this wonderful breed of dog, by keeping one – find out whether an Otterhound would be right for you at: https://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/search/breeds-a-to-z/breeds/hound/otterhound/
